Everton test the waters regarding a move for Nigerian with 34 goal involvements last season

With the 2023-2024 English Premier League campaign expected to start in August, Everton hope to improve their squad to avoid getting into another relegation battle.

Last season,  Everton finished in 17th position, a place and two points above Leicester City, who occupied the last relegation spot.

In a bid to avoid a repeat, the Toffees hope to strengthen several positions with attention on the forward position due to the exit of youngster Ellis Simms and constant injuries suffered by Dominic Calvert-Lewin last campaign.

To fortify the forward position, Everton have shown interest in Royale Union Saint-Gilloise attacker Victor Boniface, according to Sacha Tavolieri, a European transfer specialist.

Tavolieri tweeted last night that Everton took information on the player’s side to glimpse the possibilities of a deal for Victor Boniface.

Although Everton are yet to submit an official offer to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and are not close to the stage of formal negotiation, it is claimed that the player is open to the deal.

Boniface is among the Nigerian strikers who had a great season  last campaign and feels ready for a big challenge in a top league in Europe.

He had an impressive 34 goal contributions last term, consisting of 18 in the Jupiler Pro League and playoffs, 8 in the Europa League, 5 in the Champions League qualifiers and 3 in the Belgian Cup.
