Super Eagles-eligible goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo is set to leave Arsenal this summer after fourteen years of service, having joined the north London club in 2009.

This was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano who wrote on his Twitter page on Monday morning that it has been agreed that the young goalkeeper on a permanent deal this summer.

The Italian transfer market expert added that Okonkwo is now attracting interest from clubs in England and across Europe.

Okonkwo's chances of being Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper at the moment are slim with Aaron Ramsdale, Matt Turner and Runar Runarsson and Karl Hein all ahead of him in manager Mikel Arteta's pecking order.

To gain more first-team experience, he spent the first half of last season with English Football League Two side Crewe Alexandra where he kept 10 clean sheets in twenty-six games.

He then proceeded to Austrian side Sturm Graz in the second half of last season and helped them to win the Austrian Cup for the first time in 5 years.

The 21-year-old has been with the Gunners since the age of eight and has progressed through the ranks to the first team.

He signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in September 2018 and made his unofficial debut in the club's 2-1 loss to Scottish Premiership side Hibernian in a friendly but has not featured in any competitive game till this moment.
