Arsenal icon Rosicky hails Sparta Prague's brand new signing Olatunji
Published: July 17, 2023Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji has completed a move to Czech First League champions Sparta Prague, following his departure from fellow Slovan Liberec.
The 1999-born forward has inked a multi-year contract with his new team. Olatunji's stint at Slovan Liberec was short-lived, spanning just six months.
During his time at Liberec, Olatunji made a total of 19 appearances, impressively finding the back of the net eight times and also contributing with a single assist.
His goal-scoring prowess caught the attention of Sparta Prague, leading to his transfer to the reigning Czech champions.
Arsenal legend Tomas Rosicky, who is now the sporting director of Sparta Prague, expressed his delight in welcoming Olatunji to the club.
"We are talking about a player with interesting physical and speed parameters. Typologically, this is a striker that we currently do not have in the squad," Rosicky told Sparta Prague's official website.
This acquisition adds strength and depth to Sparta Prague's attacking options and demonstrates their ambition to maintain their dominance in Czech football.
Olatunji's arrival is expected to provide an exciting boost to Sparta Prague's squad for the upcoming season.
