Official: Man Utd make coaching changes that affect three players of Nigerian descent
Published: July 19, 2023Manchester United have announced coaching changes that will affect three Nigeria-eligible players, namely Habeeb Ogunneye, Victor Musa and Maxi Oyedele.
As announced on their official website, the club's U18s will be tutored by Adam Lawrence in the 2023-2024 campaign and that means that Lawrence will be the new coach of Ogunneye and Musa.
Ogunneye who is a right back made 9 appearances in the U18 Premier League last season and recorded three assists.
Musa on the other hand made 19 appearances for the young Red Devils in the division, registering 6 goals and also made 2 appearances in the FA Youth Cup.
Likewise, Travis Binnion will be the new coach of Oydele having been announced as the new tactician of the development side.
Oyedele is set to be promoted to the U21s in the new season, he has totaled six appearances for the age group.
The 18-year-old went on loan to English National League side Altrincham FC in the second half of the season where he bagged 4 goals in twelve games.
