Arsenal join Chelsea and Man City in the race to sign former Super Eagles invitee
Published: July 24, 2023Arsenal have joined the race to sign 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise who is also eligible to represent the national teams of England, France and Algeria.
According to 90min via Football.London, the Gunners are interested in the Crystal Palace dazzler but will have to see off competition from Manchester City and Chelsea who are also interested in his services as earlier reported.
Per the report, the France U21 international is being considered as an alternative to Ghana international Mohammed Kudus who has also been linked with Chelsea.
Kudus is being valued at 40 million pounds which Arsenal deem excessive at the moment and Olise is seen as a cheaper alternative with him being available for just 35 million pounds.
Mikel Arteta still wants to add one more attacking option to his team and Olise would be a good addition to his side.
With the Super Eagles eligible player being able to play as a right winger, he will also represent an alternative to Bukayo Saka if he joins Arteta's side
The Gunners have already added Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice to their ranks this summer and want to add three more signings to the side before the closure of the transfer window.
