Official: AC Milan confirm signing of Chukwueze, reveal winger's shirt number
Published: July 27, 2023Through their official website, seven-time European Champions AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze.
AC Milan have confirmed that Chukwueze has signed a five-year contract and has been allocated the number 21 jersey for the 2023-2024 season.
The right winger has always been the Rossoneri's first choice for the right flank of the attack and Stefano Pioli must be happy to finally get his man.
The 24-year-old is the seventh signing of the summer for Pioli's side with Marco Sportiello, Noah Okafor, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic being the other new players
The Nigerian arrives at the San Siro with huge pedigree having recorded his best season in European topflight last season for Villarreal, registering 24 goal contributions in all competitions.
He joined the Yellow Submarine in 2017 as a youth player and made his professional debut in 2018.
The 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner made 207 appearances for the Spanish side, scored 37 goals in all competitions and won one Europa League title with the club.
The 28-cap Nigeria International is the ninth Nigerian to play for AC Milan and will be hoping to etch his name in the history of the Milan-based side.
