Arsenal striker of Nigerian descent attracting interest from German, Danish and EFL clubs
Published: July 31, 2023Arsenal's Nigeria-eligible striker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji is attracting interest from several clubs in the summer transfer window.
The Hale End Academy product is not guaranteed first-team football in the forthcoming season and the Gunners are reportedly willing to loan him out to continue his development.
Butler-Oyedeji did not travel with Arsenal's first team to the United States, a strong indication that he is not in the plans of manager Mikel Arteta.
According to Football Insider, the Anglo-Nigerian youngster is being targeted by clubs in England and overseas.
Clubs in Belgium, the Bundesliga second tier and Denmark as well as several League One clubs in England have made enquiries about the versatile attacker.
He received two call-ups for first team games without being utilized off the bench in January 2023, before heading out on loan to Accrington Stanley, for whom he made eleven appearances in the League One.
Butler-Oyedeji has been on the books of Arsenal since the age of eight and signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2021.
He was arguably the Gunners development squad's standout player in the first half of the 2022-2023 season.
