Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham are targeting Gift Orban as Kane's replacement
Published: August 05, 2023Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gift Orban is on the list of transfer targets for Tottenham Hotspur if they lose their star striker Harry Kane this summer.
Kane has reportedly agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich, with the Bavarians tabling a 100 million euros bid and are waiting for a response from Spurs Chairman, Daniel Levy.
While both parties await Levy's response, Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou will hope the club sign a replacement before the end of the transfer window.
Romano has revealed that the London-based club is an admirer of the Nigerian prolific striker
"Keep an eye on Gift Orban - the striker from Gent - because he's really appreciated by Tottenham. I will tell you more on this one in the next days, but I can guarantee that he's one of the names Tottenham are keeping an eye on in case Daniel Levy will give the green light to Harry Kane deal, " Romano said on his YouTube channel
The 21-year-old has attracted interest from European clubs following his brilliant performance in front of goal for Gent since joining the Belgian club in January.
He netted 20 goals in 22 games last season for the Buffalos and has started the season on a good note, netting 2 goals in 2 games.
Orban has also been linked with French Ligue 1 club Lille who wants him to replace Jonathan David.
