Official: 2023 Flying Eagles invitee joins ADO Den Haag after release by Arsenal
Published: August 10, 2023Through a statement on their official website, Dutch Eerste Divisie club ADO Den Haag have announced the signing of 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Joel Ideho following his release by Premier League side Arsenal.
Ideho had been searching for a new club after his contract at the Gunners ran out on June 30, 2023.
The flamboyant winger was linked with possible moves to Premier League newcomers Burnley and Italian Serie B club Feralpisalò, and also trained with SC Heerenveen with a view to a transfer but nothing came out of it.
Ideho signed a two-year contract with ADO Den Haag at the Bingoal Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Prior to joining Arsenal, the 20-year-old played for the youth teams of RKTVV, SC 't Zand, Willem II and Ajax Amsterdam.
Blessed with speed, dribbling ability and technical attributes, Ideho has been signed for ADO Den Haag's first team and it is a foregone conclusion that he will make his professional debut in the coming months.
In his first words as a player of ADO Den Haag, Ideho said: "I look forward to seizing the opportunity that lies before me at ADO Den Haag. I am determined to prove myself here in the first team."
The 20-year-old has been assigned the number 17 jersey at ADO Den Haag.
