Fulham targeting move for Tottenham's England defender as potential replacement for Tosin
Published: August 23, 2023Fulham have started preparing for life without their Nigerian central defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
The Cottagers are resigned to losing the Manchester City academy product who is drawing interest from Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
According to Sky Sports UK, Tottenham are considering offers for versatile England defender Eric Dier amid interest from Fulham, who fear they will lose Tosin Adarabioyo before the end of the summer transfer window.
Dier and Tosin have not played a single minute of Premier League football in the new season, an indication that they are not in the plans of Ange Postecoglou and Marco Silva respectively, and a transfer could be in the offing for both players.
Tosin is attracting interest from Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur, and the Principality club have firmed up their interest in the Nigerian by making two official bids for the 25-year-old .
Monaco have identified Tosin as their priority signing for the center back position and are expected to come back with an improved offer after their first and second bid failed to meet Fulham's valuation of the player.
The Cottagers wanted to retain Tosin for this season but are being forced to sell him now to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires next summer.
The Nigerian is keen to embark on a new chapter in his career and favors a move to Monaco over Tottenham Hotspur.
