Official: Former Flying Eagles midfielder Ofoborh mutually parts company with Rangers
Published: August 24, 2023Through their official website, Glasgow Rangers have announced the departure of Former Flying Eagles star Nnamdi Ofoborh.
The statement revealed that the Scottish giants reached a mutual agreement with the Nigerian midfielder to end his contract despite two years left on the deal.
Ofoborh joined Rangers in the 2020/ 2021 season but failed to make an appearance for the club due to his health conditions.
The announcement marks the end of a complicated saga between both parties.
Earlier this year, the 23-year-old took to social media to complain about his lack of opportunities.
Rangers manager Michael Beale responded to the perceived harsh treatment being given to the 23-year-old by saying that he has not been given time due to his health condition.
He played for the youth teams of Tottenham Hotspur and Millwall before moving to Bournemouth where he excelled at youth level having been named the Young Player of the Season in the 2017-2018 campaign.
The London-born midfielder then joined Wycombe Wanderers in 2019 on a loan spell where he made 33 appearances, scoring 2 goals.
He departed Bournemouth in 2021 and made only 5 first-team appearances for the Boscombe-based side
Ofoborh was part of the Flying Eagles squad for the Fifa U20 World Cup in 2019 and made 3 appearances.
