In the Italian Serie A, Victor Osimhen has now scored in each of his first two games of the season after his goal for Napoli in their 2-0 win over US Sassuolo at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

 

Osimhen, who received the award for last season's top scorer before kickoff, converted a spot kick to open the scoring in the 16th minute to take his tally in the new season to three.

In the French Ligue 1, Netherlands youth international of Nigerian descent, Emanuel Emegha celebrated his first goal for Chelsea-owned Strasbourg in a 2-0 win over Toulouse at the Stade de la Meinau. 

 

Emegha, in his second appearance for Strasbourg, opened the scoring with a header six minutes after the restart. 

 

Anthony Uzodimma played a key role as Kayserispor claimed their first win in the new Turkish Super Lig season. The fullback, with a deflected shot, opened the scoring in the 16th minute. 

 

In his first game of the season, former AC Milan youth teamer Henty Ezekiel was among the scorers as his team AEL Limassol edged a seven-goal thriller against AEZ Zakakiou in a Cypriot First Division tie at the Limassol Arena.

 

With AEL Limassol trailing 2-1, Ezekiel brought the game back to parity in the 52nd minute when he scored directly from a free-kick. 

 

Former Sunshine Stars winger Abiodun Ogunniyi netted his fifth of the season as FK Auda won on the road against BFC Daugavpils in the Latvian Virsliga.

 

Twenty minutes into the contest, the Nigeria U23 international  doubled the advantage when he curled the ball into the bottom corner. 

 

In the Lithuanian A Lyga, Mathias Oyewusi continued his brilliant form for Zalgiris Vilnius by netting a brace in their 4-1 win against Dziugas at Vilniaus LFF stadionas (Vilnius).

 

After doubling his side's advantage in the 34th minute, he was in the right place to tap home his second of the game in the 64th minute. 

 

The 24-year-old was the assist provider for Zalgiris Vilnius's third goal at minute 62.
