Published: September 07, 2023Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been recognized for his brilliant start to the new Premier League season.
The Nottingham Forest has been nominated for the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month Award for August.
He is in the running along with Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison, Ballon d'Or nominee and Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, Brighton & Hove Albion forward Kaoru Mitoma and West Ham's Jarrod Bowen.

The performance of the Nigeria international is a continuation of his excellent season-ending form from last campaign which saw him help Nottingham Forest escape relegation.
Having netted in his first three Premier League games this season, he has become the first Forest player to score in 7 consecutive league games and has equaled Mohamed Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor's feat of an African player scoring in 7 consecutive games in the English top-flight.
The 26-year-old has also been called to the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifying game against São Tomé and Príncipe due to his brilliant form in the opening weeks of the Premier League.
