Report claims Tottenham Hotspur will reignite their interest in Nigerian CB in January
Published: September 07, 2023Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly reignite their interest in Nigerian central defender Tosin Adarabioyo when the transfer window reopens for business in January 2024.
The Manchester City academy product was heavily linked with a transfer to French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco on deadline day, but the deal fell through because Fulham did not have a replacement lined up for the 25-year-old.
Football Insider claims that the door has opened for Tottenham to sign out of favour Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
It has been suggested that Tosin is not in the good books of Fulham and will find it tough forcing his way back into the team.
For now, it is known that the Super Eagles-eligible player is prioritizing a transfer to Monaco over Tottenham Hotspur, who did not make a concrete offer for the centre-back in the summer transfer window.
The north London club could be in the market for a central defender in January to compensate for the departures of Japhet Tanganga, Davinson Sánchez and Joe Rodon.
Tosin fits the bill, given that he is a homegrown player and has Premier League experience.
Since the start of the season, he has logged only one minute for Fulham amid speculation surrounding his future.
