Most possession won in attacking third: Tottenham LB Udogie ranks first in the Premier League
Published: September 19, 2023Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie has won the most possession in the attacking third in the Premier League since the start of this campaign
According to revered football statistics website, Whoscored, Udogie has won possession 8 times in the attacking this season which is the most of any player in the Premier League.
This proves how much he has helped Tottenham recover the ball in the opposition half and his importance to Ange Postecoglou.
The former Celtic boss wasted no time in choosing the Italy U21 international of Nigerian descent as his first-choice left-back and he has also repaid the faith of his new manager in return.
He has featured in all but one game for Tottenham this season, which was their encounter against Fulham in the League Cup where they were knocked out on penalties.
Udogie will be up for another stern test this weekend in the Premier League when Spurs play Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first North London derby of this campaign.
