Average sprints per 90 minutes Ligue 1 : Montpellier's Adams and Strasbourg's Emegha in top five
Published: November 21, 2023According to the Ligue 1 official website, Super Eagles-eligible striker Emeka Emegha and former Flying Eagles forward Akor Adams have been ranked in the top five players with the highest average sprints per 90 minutes in the French top flight this season.
Emegha's average sprints per 90 minutes is 31.1 kilometres which is the second-best in the league and is only bettered by AS Monaco forward Ismail Jakobs.
The 20-year-old joined Strasbourg in the summer from Austrian outfit Sturm Graz and has made eight appearances scoring 1 goal.
Similarly, Adams who has hogged the headlines for his goalscoring exploits for Montpellier also made the list having been placed 4th.
He is said to be averaging 26.8 kilometres of sprints per 90 minutes in the Ligue 1 this season which places him above Ruben Aguilar (RC Lens), Caio Henrique (AS Monaco), Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Marcus Coco (FC Nantes), Hicham Boudaoui (OGC Nice) and Adrien Truffert (Rennes).
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals this season in 11 appearances, which is the second-highest in the division.
Only players who have logged a minimum of 500 minutes in the Ligue 1 were considered.
