Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur keeping close tabs on Super Eagles-eligible defender
Published: February 29, 2024London-based club Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Italian-Nigerian right-back Michael Kayode.
This follows a report from HITC which states that the three Premier League sides have sent scouts to run the rule over the Fiorentina right back.
The 19-year-old has risen to prominence in the Serie A this season despite playing in the top flight for the first time in his career.
He is a modern-day attacking full-back and has three-goal contributions (1 goal, 2 assists) in the Serie A so far this season.
He famously demonstrated his good defensive awareness in Fiorentina's 3-1 win over Napoli last October at Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, keeping Khvicha Kvaratskhelia quiet in the contest.
The interest from the Premier League clubs comes as no surprise as his agent had also revealed the same not long ago though maintained that Kayode was committed to Fiorentina at the moment.
Aston Villa are also another English side keeping an eye on Kayode as well as Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries with the club intending to buy a new right back.
Having watched him closely in the Serie A, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli are also interested in him and the same goes for Bayern Munich and PSG.
