FWC FC star dubbed the 'god of goals', Ugwu scores again; Flying Eagles coach keeping tabs on striker
Published: May 04, 2024Family Worship Champions FC on Friday played put a pulsating 2-2 draw with Police Machine FC in the week 7 of the ongoing Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO1 at the Area 3 Play Ground, Abuja.
The game was a top of the table clash, FWC FC had 18 points while Police Machine had 16 going into the game.
FWC FC started well, led 1-0 at half time courtesy of a 34th minute goal from Rugasa Caleb and two minutes into the second half netted by Ugwu Henry, only to be pegged back by the men in black twice in the next 16 minutes.
FWC FC striker, Ugwu Henry, hailed as 'The god of goals' has therefore taken his goal tally to 6 in 7 games in the 2024 NLO1 season.
Ugwu will miss the next game against HB Academy billed for Sunday morning, due to three accumulated yellow cards, and the petit forward is hugely disappointed but backs his teammates to get the job done.
"Though I'm disappointed that I will miss the next game, but I know we are not a one man team," he said.
"In fact, I might not be missed because there are several players waiting for a chance to play and showcase themselves."
Nigeria National U20 team's head coach, Ladan Bosso, was on hand to watch one of FWC FC games this week and must have been impressed with the performance of the pacy forward.
