'Technically possible' - Napoli sporting director reacts to reports linking Osimhen to PSG in January
Published: December 06, 2024
Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has stirred the pot regarding Victor Osimhen's potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain by hinting at the possibility of the Nigerian forward making a move in January
This comes after a summer filled with speculation, where PSG had shown interest in signing Osimhen but failed to reach an agreement with Napoli, despite having secured a commitment from the player himself.
After the PSG deal fell through, Osimhen's attempts to join Saudi club Al Ahli and Chelsea also ended without success, leading to his eventual loan to Galatasaray for the rest of the season.
Since arriving in Istanbul, Osimhen has made a significant impact, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in just twelve matches across all competitions, reigniting interest from prominent clubs across Europe, including Juventus.
In a recent interview with Mediaset via Tuttomercatoweb, Manna addressed the ongoing rumours linking Osimhen to PSG ahead of the winter transfer window.
While he acknowledged that a transfer could be 'technically possible', he clarified that no formal approaches had been made by PSG or any other club for Osimhen's services at this time.
"Technically possible, but no one has called us," Manna stated, leaving the door open for potential negotiations while emphasizing the current status of the situation.
Despite the swirling rumours, Osimhen has expressed his desire to remain with Galatasaray until the conclusion of his loan deal.
