Demirkol insists Galatasaray signing Osimhen on full deal is as likely as Mbappe joining Newcastle

Turkish football expert Mehmet Demirkol has ruled out the possibility of Galatasaray signing Napoli loanee Victor Osimhen on a full deal.

The 25-year-old has been one of the best Galatasaray's players this term, aiding their quest to win the Trendyol Süper Lig for the third consecutive time, by scoring seven goals in 10 games.

He has also played a role in the Turkish giants securing their spot in the knockout phase of the UEFA Europa League with two games to spare, chipping in three goals and two assists in the competition.

There have been reports revolving around the possibility of the Istanbul-based side signing the Super Eagles forward on a permanent deal based on his heroics in the colours of the club.

However, Galatasaray do not have the financial wherewithal to sign the Nigeria international, whose valuation is reportedly €75 million.

As a result, there have been reports stating that the club could seek the help of investors to sign the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner on a full deal.

Speaking with Socrates Magazine's YouTube channel via Haber sari Kirmizi, Demirkol has ruled out the chances of the Lion signing Osimhen permanently, equating the chances to that of Newcastle landing Kylian Mbappe.

"There is the Osimhen issue. Can we find 70 million Euros? Sponsors and such... Of course, such a thing is not possible," Demirkol said.

"There is no question of something like 'I found a sponsor, he is bringing it to 70 million Euros'. This is forbidden in football, but it is not possible to explain this.”

"How are you going to find a €70 million sponsor for a player? There is no such thing. If there was such a thing, Newcastle United would pay the money and get Mbappe."

Regardless of whether he can join the Turkish giants fully next summer, Osimhen will have made a mark at the club if he keeps up with his present form.
