Turkish journalist exposes source of false reports linking Osayi-Samuel to Galatasaray
Published: January 02, 2025
Turkish reporter Nevzat Dindar has shed light on the speculations linking Bright Osayi-Samuel to Galatasaray, stating that his representatives are behind the fake reports suggesting a move away from Fenerbahçe.
Osayi-Samuel, whose contract with Fenerbahçe expires at the end of the season, has been linked with several links away from the Yellow Canaries as both parties are yet to reach an agreement on an extension.
Despite his importance to the team, the Nigerian defender is yet to reach an agreement with Fenerbahçe due to financial obligation, a situation that has stirred speculations about an exit.
He has played in all the games he's available this season under Jose Mourinho, featuring in ten league matches and providing one assist to cement his stature in the team.
Speaking on Arma Sports Youtube channel, Dindar, a Galatasaray transfer expert, denied the rumours linking him with a move to the Yellow-Reds, noting that the club won't be able to meet the financial obligation.
"The possibility of Bright Osayi-Samuel is weak. The management denied it. Galatasaray will not give Osayi Samuel the money Fenerbahçe gave him,” he was quoted as saying by habersarikirmizi.com.
He further revealed that rumours linking the Nigerian midfielder to Galatasaray are disseminated by the players' representatives, a move aimed at improving the value of the player and possibly forcing Fenerbache to give him the financial demands.
He clarified; "Osayi's agent is deliberately spreading the news about Osayi."
With his contract set to expire in the summer, the Nigerian fullback is now free to negotiate with other clubs and secure a move as a free agent.
