UFC fighter reckons signing of Victor Osimhen would benefit Man Utd's young stars Garnacho and Amad

Michael ‘Venom’ Page, the renowned UFC fighter, has voiced his opinion on Manchester United's need for an experienced goalscorer, emphasizing the potential benefits of signing Victor Osimhen for the club’s young stars, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo.

Speaking to Sky Sports UK, Page highlighted the critical importance of a proven goal scorer in United’s attacking lineup. 

"We need some goals at the front. Goals at the front just sparks fire in anybody," he said. 

Page’s statement underscores his belief that an influx of goals would invigorate the entire squad and provide a much-needed spark to their offensive play.

The former Bellator champion also pointed out that, while young players like Garnacho and Amad show great promise, they still need proper guidance to reach their full potential. 

"I think they are great, if they get the right leadership in front of them, they are going to be the next best thing," Page said. 

The 37-year-old likened the potential pairing of the two to legendary wingers Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo, who both emerged as world-class talents at Manchester United. 

"I reckon potentially see another Nani, Ronaldo match up," Page added, reflecting on how those two players developed under the guidance of experienced figures at the club.

However, Page stressed that these young talents cannot be expected to carry the team on their own. 

"They need that guidance and they need inspiration in front of them, somebody that can just create magical moments from nowhere is needed," he stated. 

Page’s remarks speak to the vital role a seasoned attacker, such as Osimhen, could play in lifting the overall quality of United’s offensive play.

At present, Manchester United’s strike force has been under scrutiny, with critics questioning the reliability and effectiveness of their current forwards. Page was blunt in his assessment: 

"We have got a couple of strikers but they are not good enough."
