Sevilla's winter signing, Akor Adams, is now in contention to make his debut for the club this Saturday in their match against Getafe after being official registered by the club in La Liga, confirms coach Garcia Pimienta.
The Nigerian striker, who joined Sevilla from Montpellier in a deal worth almost 6 million euros, has been training with his new teammates since Thursday.
Adams' arrival at Sevilla has generated significant excitement, with the player himself expressing his enthusiasm about joining the club.
The 25-year-old striker has already made a good impression on his new coach, who has confirmed that Adams will be in the squad to face Getafe after some delayed paperwork.
The Sevilla coach spoke highly of Adams during his press conference on Friday, praising the striker's work ethic and eagerness to get started.
"He has just been training and will be in the squad tomorrow," García Pimienta said. "He is ready to play and perform well."
"He has just been training and will be in the squad tomorrow," the club's gaffer said at the game's pre-match conference as quoted on the club's official website.
"He is ready to play and perform well. He has done two good training sessions and he has to adapt to the language and the way of training and playing.
"It will be progressive but he can't wait to get started. He is a good lad and it is a very good opportunity for him to be in Sevilla. He is going to give everything because that is his way of playing."
Adams, who will wear the number 15 jersey for Sevilla, is expected to bring a new dimension to the club's attack.
The Nigerian striker has already shown his excitement about joining Sevilla after attending their last game against RCD Espanyol, and a potential debut against Getafe looks to be on the cards.
Sevilla's match against Getafe is scheduled to take place on Saturday, with the club looking to climb up the table, as they currently sit at twelfth place in the current standings.
The club's fans will be eagerly waiting to see their new signing in action, and García Pimienta's comments suggest that Adams is ready to make a positive impact.
