Malawi Coach Targets Nigeria Upset
Published: June 03, 2012
Malawi coach Kinnah 'Electric' Phiri hopes to build on the goalless draw with Kenya in next weekend's crucial World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles in Blantyre.
''These boys may look small, but they are very intelligent and very fit and no team can play around with them. “We have upset Egypt, DR Congo and Guinea at home – so Nigeria can be another victim,'' Phiri told maraviexpress.com.
19 players including 10 foreign professionals made the trip to Kenya. Barring injuries, the same squad will be used by Coach Phiri for the tie against Nigeria on Saturday.
