AKEEM LATIFU: Our Season Is Back On Track
Published: June 28, 2012
After two wins in their last two games, Hødd are one of the form teams in the Norwegian first division.
Before the league went on recess, the Ulsteinvik based side hammered Ham Kan 5-0. Then in the latest round of matches in the championship, Lars Arne Nilsen's charges coasted to a 2-0 win over bottom side Bærum.
Canada 2007 Fifa Under 20 World Cup star Akeem Latifu is an important member of the Hødd squad that had targeted promotion as one of their priorities in the 2012 season.
''Definitely our season is back on track, and the results show that. Everybody in the team is in good form.
''I can't say for now if we would be promoted at the end of the season because the league is still on, so many matches yet to be played. Nothing is impossible and we just have to be in a comfortable position before thinking of promotion,'' Latifu, who has played in every game this season for Hodd, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Former Enyimba striker Nonso Lala has played all but one game for Hodd in the league. But Kazeem Ahmed is becoming irrelevant. The 23-year-old winger has started only two games, against Ullensaker / Kisa and Bryne in May.
