EMMANUEL EMENIKE Travels To Germany For Check Up

Emmanuel Emenike is in a race against the clock to be fit for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League reverse fixture against Benfica in Lisbon.
The 25 - year - old had to be substituted on Saturday at half time in Spartak Moscow's 5 - 0 spanking of Krylya Sovetov, the team's biggest away victory in 11 years.
According to Sport Express Russia, Emenike is scheduled to travel to Germany in the coming hours so doctors can quickly examine the nature of his back injury.
All things being equal, the Nigeria international will join the red and white before they travel to Portugal for the fourth round tie against Benfica.
The Super Eagle's last appearance in the Champions League was a month ago against Efe Ambrose's Celtic.
