SOLOMON OWELLO Is Player Of The Season In The First Division
Published: November 26, 2012
At a gala ceremony held at the Grand Hotel, Oslo, IK Start midfielder Solomon Owello scooped the award for the Player of the Season in Norway's first division ahead of Sarpsborg's øyvind Hoås and Martin Wiik.
The official website of the first division champions, ikstart.no, reported that Owello did not attend the ceremony as he has started vacation in Nigeria.
Unarguably, this was Owello's best season since his arrival in Norway four years ago from local club Niger Tornadoes.
23 - year - old Owello started all the 30 matches played by Start in the Adeccoligaen. The old fashioned play-maker netted an impressive six goals from central midfield.
