Exclusive: Ekele Udojoh Inks $24,000 Deal With Malkiya FC
Published: January 21, 2013
Former Sharks player Ekele Udojoh has joined Bahrain top flight club Malkiya FC until the end of the season as both parties reached an agreement on a US$4,000 per month deal.
The 23 - year - old attacker was on the wishlist of last season's CAF Confederation Cup campaigners Sunshine Stars. However, the club from Bahrain moved faster for the free agent.
''I was training with Sunshine Stars before the Christmas break and I was close to signing a contract with them. Then a proposal came from Malkiya that they wanted me. I have signed with them till the end of the season.
''It is not my wish to stay long here. But you never know in football. I want to play with them till June then hopefully get a better offer,'' Udojoh told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Malkiya started the season in very poor form as they have lost four of their opening six matches in the Premier League.
