World Exclusive: Ajax Amsterdam Snatch Daddy - Ajala From Under Twente's Noses
Published: May 11, 2013
Eredivisie champions Ajax Amsterdam have snatched Nigerian starlet Moses Daddy - Ajala Simon from under FC Twente Enschede's noses, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively reveal.
This portal exclusively reported early last month that Daddy - Ajala was seemingly set to join Twente when he turns 18, with the Dutch club even offering him a pre - contract but the proposed move collapsed at the last minute.
Ajax Amsterdam have pulled a major transfer coup by signing Moses Daddy - Ajala, who has the same playing style as Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.
''Ajax Amsterdam were forced to do a deal because Daddy Ajala's agent, Tony Harris had previously offered them Ahmed Musa through ex Ajax winger Tijani Babangida and they turned him down.
''Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, representatives of Ajax scouted him extensively and asked Harris to put the brakes on the Twente offer.
''And Ajax moved fast to avoid the Ahmed Musa scenario. The catch was missing out on Ahmed Musa, who established himself with VVV Venlo, then sold for big money to CSKA Moscow,'' a representative of Daddy - Ajala told allnigeriasoccer.com.
At the moment, the duration and financial details of the contract are being kept under wraps.
Representatives of Ajax Amsterdam scouted Moses Daddy-Ajala Simon at the Under 20 National Team camp.
The winger had trained with the Golden Eaglets but was dropped by coach Manu Garba before the squad left for Morocco.
