Scottish Premiership side Hearts are on the brink of announcing the capture of talented Manchester United left-back Demetri Mitchell.

According to various reports in the British press, including Edinburgh Evening News, Hearts plan to solve their left-back problem by signing Manchester United's Demetri Mitchell on loan.

Both clubs have reached an agreement for Mitchell to spend the remainder of the season at The Jambos.

Demetri Mitchell has made only one appearance for the first team of United which came against Crystal Palace on the final day of the 2016-2017 campaign.

The 21-year-old joined the Red Devils from Fletcher Moss Rangers in 2007, the same academy that produced England international Marcus Rashford.

He was a member of the England team that won the European U17 Championship in 2014.
