Teenage Nigerian midfielder Mishel Nduka has taken to social media to confirm that his transfer to Premier League giants Arsenal has been completed.
Nduka ended his eight-year association with Charlton Athletic by signing a schoolboy deal with the Gunners.
The highly rated youngster had been on the radar of Arsenal's Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers, but has decided to continue his development at the London club.
Arsenal Academy manager Per Mertesacker, alongside the midfielder's parents, was present at the signing ceremony for Nduka, who is set to begin his career with the club's U16 side.
The Gunners are yet to release an official statement, but Nduka's post effectively serves as confirmation that the deal has been secured.
Nduka took to Instagram to share his excitement at the opportunity, describing Arsenal as a 'big club' while paying tribute to his family for their support.
"Proud to sign for such a big club like @arsenal," Nduka posted.
"I would like to thank my family who have supported me along the way. All praise to God, now it’s time to get to work!"
Arsenal's thriving youth setup has produced several first team players of Nigerian descent, with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Chuba Akpom, Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri all graduates of Hale End Academy.
