He said, “I think the expectation is really good. We are looking forward to a big game against a big nation. We all know that we're going to meet a team who is really good with players who play at the highest level. So, for us it's all about making the game tomorrow to be good, you know, and hopefully it will be a good game.”
The forward was asked about Tunisia’s perceived advantage on paper compared to Nigeria.
He responded, “I don't feel that. I feel like it's two nations who are really good, and if you take our team, you know, I think we've been doing some good over a while now.”
Tounekti also discussed the team’s focus and preparation for the match.
“So, for us, we only have to focus about tomorrow, you know, that is going to be a hard game for sure. You know, I think they are one of the guys who can win. So for us, if we win tomorrow, I think we make a statement that we are also here to compete,” he added.
