Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar has hailed Victor Osimhen for his remarkable strike during the second half of Galatasaray's 3-0 road win over Rizespor on Sunday, describing the Nigerian striker’s finish as 'superhuman'.
The reigning Süper Lig champions surged into a commanding two-goal lead, with Barış Alper Yılmaz and Yunus Akgün both finding the net with well-taken headers.
With seventeen minutes remaining, the advantage was extended to 3–0 as Osimhen calmly rounded goalkeeper Yahia Fofana before slotting the ball home just before it could drift out of play.
The former African Footballer of the Year found the net from what appeared to be an almost impossible angle, though the effort seemed routine at first glance.
Writing in his column for Sabah newspaper, Çakar expressed astonishment at both the athleticism and technical brilliance behind the goal.
In quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi.com, he said: "Osimhen scored a superhuman goal. He has an anatomical structure unlike that of a normal human.
"He moves so fast with his long legs and scores a goal from an almost impossible angle. It seems very simple, but it's not."
Osimhen is currently enjoying a prolific run of form, having found the net in five consecutive matches in the Turkish top flight.
