The Super Eagles rounded off their final training session on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against Morocco, with captain Wilfred Ndidi and defender Ryan Alebiosu both training separately from the main group.
The duo were not involved in the full team drills during the session, instead undergoing individual programmes supervised by the medical and technical crew.
Their separate routines were part of carefully managed preparations as Nigeria fine-tuned plans for the crucial encounter against the tournament hosts.
Wilfred Ndidi, who has been recovering from a hamstring strain sustained in the previous round, was present on the training pitch but restricted to light work.
The midfielder has shown encouraging signs of recovery, suggesting the injury is not as severe as initially feared.
However, despite this improvement, Ndidi is not eligible to feature in the semi-final against Morocco due to bookings received in the previous stage of the tournament.
Ryan Alebiosu also trained separately as he continues a structured rehabilitation programme.
The defender has been making steady progress, with his fitness levels gradually improving under close medical supervision.
The technical crew has adopted a cautious approach to his recovery, prioritising long-term readiness while monitoring his response to training.
Nigeria will face Morocco on Wednesday in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, with a place in the final on the line as the Super Eagles continue their push for continental success.
