Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke has made a timely return to first-team training ahead of Sevilla FC’s crucial La Liga clash at Camp Nou, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo.
The 28-year-old, who missed Wednesday’s session due to a minor ailment, returned to the Sevilla training ground on Thursday, participating in drills and exercises that suggest he is fully ready to feature under manager Matías Almeyda.
Ejuke’s comeback is a welcome boost for Sevilla amid an injury-hit squad.
Defenders Kike Salas and Marcao, along with forward Peque, remain sidelined, but several other players nursing minor knocks have resumed full training, strengthening the team ahead of their challenging trip to Barcelona and increasing the options available to the manager.
The former Royal Antwerp winger has contributed one goal and one assist this season, and his ability to stretch defenses, create scoring chances, and add attacking dynamism could prove crucial against the La Liga leaders.
Sevilla, unbeaten in their last five games, will look to extend their run.
Having defeated Barcelona 4-1 the last time they met, and with overall squad fitness steadily improving, the team will be seeking to maintain momentum and secure a positive result at the Camp Nou as they continue their determined pursuit of La Liga safety.
