Arsenal Congratulate Alex Iwobi For Breaking Super Eagles Duck

Premier League side Arsenal congratulated Alex Iwobi after the attacking midfielder netted his first-ever international goal for the Super Eagles. <br /><br />Before committing his international future to Nigeria, where he was born, Iwobi managed only one goal in eleven appearances for England&rsquo;s youth teams, and had fired blanks in his first six caps for the senior national team.<br /><br />Against Zambia in Ndola , Iwobi finally broke his duck in front of goal, firing home a volley that caught the defense napping in the 33rd minute. <br /><br /><span><span><span>&ldquo;&ldquo;🇳🇬 Yes @alexiwobi! #BIG17 has scored his first international goal - and Nigeria lead Zambia 2-0 at half-time in their World Cup qualifier, </span></span></span><span><span><span>&rdquo; Arsenal said via their official Twitter account. </span></span></span><br /><br />Alex Iwobi started and lasted the distance against Zambia, his third competitive game for the Super Eagles. <br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br />
