The Benin Football Federation have confirmed that national team coach Michel Dussuyer will announce his roster for this month's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Sierra Leone on March 18.
The squad announcement was earlier scheduled to hold today but it was postponed to Thursday, starting from 1600 hours because the French coach needs assurances that the invited players will honour the invitation.
With majority of the Squirrels squad based in France, there are concerns that the players would be asked to spend seven days in quarantine if they travel to Africa.
Thus, the availability of Nantes winger Moses Simon for the Super Eagles is questionable due to the aforementioned reason.
Dussuyer has already erased Paris Saint-Germain fullback Colin Dagba from his plans after he was named in France's finalized roster for this month's European U21 Championship group stages.
Heading into matchday five in Group L of AFCON Qualifying, Nigeria lead the way with eight points, followed by Benin with seven, Sierra Leone are on three points while Lesotho have two points.
