<b>Allnigeriasoccer.com</b> understands that Birmingham City winger Viv Solomon-Otabor has officially been called up to the Nigeria U23s squad ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.<br /><br />The 20-year-old has been rewarded with an invitation by manager Samson Siasia on the back of his form for the Blues over the course of last season.<br /><br />Indeed, it was a breakthrough season for the London-born Solomon-Otabor, culminating in him winning <span class=\"st\">Birmingham City</span><span class=\"st\">&rsquo;s Young Player of the Season at the end of season awards.<br /><br />Subject to the approval of the leadership of the </span><span class=\"_Xbe\">St. Andrews Stadium outfit, he will hop on a plane bound for Abuja in the coming days to begin training with Nigeria</span>&rsquo;s Olympic Team.<br /><br />Viv Solomon-Otabor was one of the foreign-based professionals considered to wear the colours of the national team at the 2015 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, but his club did not release him for the tournament which fell outside Fifa&rsquo;s calendar for international matches. <br /><br />The Crystal Palace product appeared 22 times in the Championship in the 2015-2016 campaign.<br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel
