Chelsea icon John Obi Mikel was one of the protagonists behind Stoke City equaling their club record for clean sheets in a single-season.
The Potters ended the campaign with twenty-one clean sheets, level with the record set by the Stoke City side that won promotion from this division in 1979, with Mikel involved in fifteen of those games this season.
According to Stoke City Stat Zone, the former Nigeria captain recorded the highest number of recoveries out of the entire Stoke City squad over the course of the season.
Ball recoveries is the ability to win the ball back for your team where neither team has possession or where the ball has been played directly to a player by an opponent.
Mikel is Stoke City's standout player in that category with 266 successful ball recoveries, placing first ahead of Rhys Norrington-Davies (182), Harry Souttar (174), James Chester (173) and Nick Powell (169).
The 34-year-old made 39 appearaances in the Championship, logging 3,201 minutes in total.
