Crystal Palace dazzler Eberechi Eze has been tipped to make his debut for the England national team in the coming months.
The former Queens Park Rangers man has been openly courted by Nigeria Football Federation boss Amaju Pinnick to pledge his international future to the Super Eagles over England, where he was born and raised.
In its latest weekly post, CIES Football Observatory has identified the U23 players with the best credentials to make soon their national A-team debut with one of the nations in the 20 top positions of the FIFA rankings.
The organization took into account the experience level that eligible footballers have accumulated during the last year (minutes weighted by sporting level of employment teams or competitions played).
Of the ten U23 England-eligible players selected, the 1998-born Eze is the sixth best positioned player to earn his first cap for Gareth Southgate's team, outranking Marcus Edwards (Vitoria Guimaraes), Conor Gallagher (West Brom), Marc Guehi (Swansea City) and Tom Davies (Everton).
Eze trained with the Super Eagles ahead of their friendly against Burkina Faso in March 2017 which was later cancelled.
This season, the England U21 international has appeared in 23 matches in the English Premier League, scoring three goals and providing three assists, and was in action for 1,682 minutes.
