Done deal: After Victor Moses, Kazakh PL club FC Kaisar sign another former Super Eagles forward

Through official channels, Kazakhstan Premier League club FC Kaisar have confirmed the signing of Imoh Ezekiel.

The Rio Olympics bronze medalist has become the second former Nigeria international forward to join FC Kaisar in recent months, following in the footsteps of 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner Victor Moses, who retired from international football after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Like Moses, Imoh Ezekiel has joined the Kazakh club on a free transfer after being released by Albanian side KF Pogradeci in January 2026.

A product of 36 Lion FC, Ezekiel has previously featured for clubs including Standard Liège, Al-Arabi SC, RSC Anderlecht, Konyaspor, UD Las Palmas, KV Kortrijk, Al Jazira Club, Al Dhafra FC, Lalitpur City FC and UTA Arad.

Ezekiel was a key member of the Nigeria squad that secured the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, starting five of the team’s six matches and providing two assists during the competition.

Meanwhile, Victor Moses has also arrived in Kazakhstan ahead of FC Kaisar's Premier League clash with Astana on Monday, March 16.

Travel restrictions in the United Arab Emirates prevented Moses and Ezekiel from joining FC Kaisar in time for their season opener against FK Zhenys.
