Done deal: Ipswich Town loan out former Flying Eagles invitee to non-league Blues

Through official channels, Isthmian League Premier Division club, Billericay Town have announced the signing of 2025 Flying Eagles invitee Abube Onuchukwu.

A defensive midfielder by trade, Onuchukwu has committed his international future to Nigeria over England.

He joins Billericay Town on an initial 28-day loan, with the possibility of an extension should he impress during his spell at the non-league Blues.

Ipswich Town have loaned out the promising midfielder following his recent loan at Chelmsford City.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the coming months will be key for Onuchukwu's future at Ipswich, with his contract set to expire this summer.

The 20-year-old has yet to enter contract negotiations with Ipswich, while an unnamed League Two club is monitoring his situation with a view to signing him as a free agent at the end of the season.

The former Aston Villa youth teamer was invited to the Flying Eagles in 2025 but missed the training camp due to club commitments.

He last featured for Ipswich Town's youth team on December 1, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 victory over Leicester City in the Premier League Cup.
