Crystal Palace inflicted a 28th Premier League defeat on Sheffield United on Saturday, with the three points taking them to thirteenth in the table and secures their safety in the Premier League.
Eberechi Eze was great to watch and was instrumental to the win, providing the assist for the opening goal netted by Christian Benteke in the second minute before scoring the goal that sealed the win in the 88th minute.
The Super Eagles target lit up the game when he made a sumptuous run from inside his own half, with his shot bouncing into the top corner
thanks to a deflection.
Everton icon Leon Osman and former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent were full of praise for Eze's display, saying he put in an excellent performance.
Speaking on Premier League Productions after the game at Bramall Lane, Osman said : "What a wonderful goal, he had a terrific game right from the first whistle when he assisted the first goal and this summed up his afternoon.
"Wonderful touch, driving with the ball, glides with the ball. Little bit of luck with the finish Darren but he deserves it for his performance didn't he?".
Bent added : "Yes he was actually superb today. Everything Crystal Palace did going forward he was at the heart of it and he can go to another level.
"I'm really excited to see how he develops in the next couple of seasons."
Eze has had a hand in nine goals from 32 appearances in his debut season in the Premier League and only club's talisman Wilfried Zaha (12) has more goal involvements in the top-flight.
