Everton winger Alex Iwobi believes that the Super Eagles players would be motivated going into their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Republic of Benin.
On matchday three of the AFCON qualifiers, Nigeria threw away a four-goal lead, two of which were scored by Iwobi, to draw 4-4 with Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The Hale End Academy product made it clear that they have learnt an important lesson after playing back-to-back draws against the Leone Stars.
"We are expecting hard work because against Sierra Leone last game, we have to put it right, we should have done better, we all know that ourselves," Iwobi said to News Central TV.
"There is room for improvement so we are going to use that as motivation for the next two games."
Iwobi, since the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, has gone the distance in all the national team's four matches playing in the number 10 role, and has three goals to his name.
