Ex-Arsenal Winger Of Nigerian Parentage Offered New Contract By Southampton
Southampton have submitted their retained and released list to the Premier League following the conclusion of the 2016-2017 season.
The promising Nigerian winger Nathan Tella did enough to impress the coaching staff as he has been offered a fresh contract.
The 17-year-old completed the remainder of his scholarship with the Saints after he was informed by Arsenal that he won't be given a new deal in June.
Ex-Arsenal schoolboy Olufela Olomola, Republic of Ireland youth-teamers Jonathan Afolabi and Michael Obafemi were all informed to report for pre-season training, having been retained by the St Mary's outfit.
Olomola, 19, made his professional debut for Southampton when he came off the bench in a League Cup clash against Sunderland in October 2016.
