The Super Falcons were no match for Equatorial Guinea without any shade of doubt in the 6-0 win but they could have scored more goals if they were more efficient.

 One notable thing from their game was wastefulness in their free kicks.

Rita Chikwelu squandered chances from free kicks with her efforts going horribly wide. So it's an aspect of their game that the head coach must work on.


2. Oshoala's Missed Chances Continue

The Super Falcons were dominant in the game and deservedly so but the likes of Asisat Oshoala continued in her wastefulness in front of goal.

Oshoala is currently Africa's best women's player but this is unlike her as the tournament gets to the business end she needs to start converting her chances.


3. Halimat Ayinde Is  Falcons' Unsung Hero

Halimat Ayinde has been one of Nigeria's best players in the AWCON with her ball winning abilities. She can distribute them as well and most likely is going to be in the CAF's Best XI.

Ayinde is vital to this team with her performance and long may this continue.


4. Supporters Behind Falcons

There was apparently a huge fan base comprising of Nigerians in Cape Coast.

The Falcons will face the Group A winners on Tuesday in Accra where the Nigerian community is large. With a better outing by the African champions on Tuesday, it will be fun for every Nigerian.
