Nigeria U20 manager Abdu Maikaba was on media duties on Saturday, on the eve of his side's WAFU B U20 Tournament clash against Burkina Faso.
The Flying Eagles have already secured their place in the semifinals of the tournament following back-to-back wins over Ghana and Togo.
The defending champions have shown their attacking quality in Ivory Coast, scoring seven goals in two games while conceding twice in their opener against the Black Satellites.
Despite already securing a semifinal spot, Maikaba made it clear that his side are motivated to go all out for three points against Burkina Faso as they want to finish top of the group.
Maikaba has likened his Flying Eagles side to the Super Eagles, insisting Nigeria's winning culture extends from the senior national team to the youth ranks.
The Flying Eagles coach credited the influence of established stars such as Victor Osimhen and rising talents like Adeleke for maintaining the country's high standards.
"The Nigeria team is very similar to the Super Eagles, the senior national team, and you can expect results at any time with the likes of Osimhen in the senior national team and Adeleke in the U-20 national team. You can always expect good results," Maikaba said.
Makaiba described the presence of Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle at the tournament as a major source of motivation for his players.
"His presence actually motivates the boys because, when they see him, they give their all so that he can learn more about them in game situations like this.
"That may give them the opportunity, perhaps in the future, to play for the senior national team."
The WAFU B U20 Tournament serves as the regional qualifier for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations, a tournament the Flying Eagles have won a record seven times.
