Felix Uduokhai has been ruled out of Beşiktaş' upcoming Super Lig match against Eyüpspor at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
The former Nigeria Football Federation target will not be officially named in Beşiktaş' matchday squad for the Istanbul derby due to accumulated bookings.
The centre-back, who previously represented Germany at Olympic level, received his fourth booking of the campaign during Beşiktaş' 1-0 victory over Kayserispor last Monday.
This triggered an automatic one-match suspension, following earlier bookings in games against Alanyaspor, Başakşehir and Galatasaray.
Unlike last season, when he made twenty-five starts in the Turkish top flight, Uduokhai has had limited game time this term, starting in just six league games.
Ex-Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr attempted to persuade Uduokhai to switch his international allegiance from Germany to Nigeria, but the former Bayern Munich defender was unsuccessful before he was shown the exit door by the Nigeria Football Federation.
Meanwhile, Wilfred Ndidi is doubtful for the matchday 19 fixture following the injury he sustained during the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal against Algeria.
The Super Eagles captain has been diagnosed with a strain and bleeding in his biceps femoris muscle, following an MRI conducted by the Nigerian national team’s medical staff.
