Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is delighted with Kelechi Iheanacho's return to form and has credited manager Brendan Rodgers for the striker's purple patch that has seen him score six goals and provide four assists since the start of December 2019.
Iheanacho had a season to forget last term, with the former Manchester City starlet netting only twice over the course of the campaign and missing out on Nigeria's roster to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Highlighting the main attribute of the number 14, Ndidi hailed his international teammate as a natural goalscorer.
In quotes carried by Leicestershire Live, Ndidi said : "I’m very happy for Kelelchi because he’s a natural goalscorer. If you give him the opportunity like he has now, he will deliver.
"I think the manager has really helped him too. He’s done that with so many players.
"We have good discipline and understand the game better. Every player has really changed, in a good way."
Iheanacho's best season since turning professional was 2015-2016 when he notched up 14 goals in total and provided 5 assists in 35 games across all competitions for Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche faced the media on Thursday, two days before his side's Premier League trip to Anfield to face Liverpool, and provided a fitness update on his squad.
