Chelsea loanee Victor Moses has spoken about his versatility on the pitch, saying he is comfortable playing in multiple positions including as a central defender.
Predominantly a right winger by trade, the Spartak Moscow number 8 was deployed in a left wing-back role in the last round of matches against FC Rotor Volgograd due to the unavailability of Brazilian left-back Ayrton Lucas.
Moses was converted into a right wing-back by manager Antonio Conte during Chelsea's last title winning season and continued playing in the same position when he reunited with the Italian football tactician at Inter Milan for the second half of last season.
Speaking to Spartak Moscow's YouTube page, Moses said : "I am a versatile player, I like to play whatever position the manager has put me to play, then I am ready to do the job for the team.
"The team comes first before individuals so I just want to help the team to win games and as long as we all work hard together to try and achieve what we want to achieve this season, that's the most important thing. It's not individuals, it's about collectively."
He added : "I started off as a left winger, it's nothing new to me. I can play anywhere, I can play in midfield, I can play center back, I can play striker, I can play number 10, I can play everywhere on the pitch".
Moses is on loan at Spartak Moscow for the 2020-2021 season and the capital team have an option to buy him from Chelsea for a fee of five million euros next summer.
